I have started drumming in December of 2003. I got a drum pad and some drum sticks for Christmas and music lessons. I took lessons in bedford musicstop. My teacher was Zach Smith.
About a couple weeks after i started drum lessons, i got my first drum set. It wasn't really mine, it was borrowed from my dad's friend. It was a Dixon Duke and i think it was one of the worst drum sets, but why should i complain eh? It was free! So everyday i would play with the first sheet of grooves my teacher had given me, or just make up my own stuff.
Near June me and my friend decided to start a band a practice so that we could go into the talent show. So we did and we went into the talent show and still we practice a lot. In my band is Kerry (electric guitar), Kenny (electric guitar), Oz (bass) and Coke (singer). September 18 is the day we ended the band and didn't like the music we did anymore.
As the lesson year went by, summer started and i decided i would go back to lessons in the fall. A few weeks after the lessons were over, i got my own drum set. It was nice and i didn't think my dad would buy it in while but he wanted it more then me so he got it. The drum set is a Taye Tourpro, with B8 Sabian Cymbals, AA Medium Thin Crash, and AA Medium Ride. It is a very awesome drum set and will stick to me forever (as my mom says)
As for me and drumming well I'm going to keep on trucking and never give up on it and then I'm going to try and get better.
